Yeah, and it seems I was right. Aston gained the Team win and its thanks only to the concessions that the Vipers got during the season (plus their excellent form) that Alex and Bradley got the title. Fortunately next year the equalisation is being done on Avon tyres. I've been quite close to a couple of the viper teams and know what they've been going through. First of all I would like to thank all those people who have written on this forum and other forums offering support and kind words during the year and now that it has been concluded. I must admit that its a massive relief to have won the championship and the feeling is brilliant!
However not all have been so supportive. In this I am reffering to good old SCUFFERS!!!!!!!!!!
I have waited all year to reply to his comments on various forums but now seems the best time. Clearly he felt agrieved in the fact that his prosport was not allowed in the 2006 GTC class of British GT. However he would not listen to reason. A prosport was and is a prototype with performance peramaters way in excess of any GTC or GT3 car. In right hands (which obviously were not his) the car would drive away in a british GT race, and how am I qualified to say this? Yes we ran an example of this car when it raced in its own one make series. His arguments defied logic, apart from anything does a prosport look like it would fit in with a Porsche, Ferrari, Marcos or Morgan GTC/GT3 car?????
Moving on his comments on the Vipers at the start of the year just showed his ignorance but I would expect nothing less of him. At the start of 2007 the Viper was heavily penalised for it sucesses in the FIA GT3 championship. This problem was compounded by the fact that the Ferrari (uncompetative in 06) recieved a GT1 rear wing, a brake upgrade and a far wider front tyre. The lambo had a big aero upgrade, the aston benifited during the course of last year with a GT1 body kit and this year got 60 kg lead break at round 1 which was completely unexpected. So frankly it was no surprise that we struggled at the start, and even after we were allowed a 40kg weight break and 10mm reduction in ride height if old scuffers took the time to look at what the outright fastest times were at each round he would see that the viper was not a pace setter. Any results that the Vipers got this year with RPM was due to solid driver pairings and despite Mr Scuffmans comments fantastic setups and engineering by the team, not necessarily out right speed of the Viper due to all of its restrictions, although the Viper is a fantasticly constant car over a 1 hour race duration .
All in all I just hope this highlights how premature, uninformed and basically stupid his comments were. Once again thanks to all of those who have supported myself and RPM in 2007 and heres to an even better 2008!

Alex, sincere congratulations. The team worked really hard for the end result, no matter what "alterations" were made to accomodate others throughout the season.
However, I hear that the new apprentice driver is one to watch for in 2008!?
