He is the most pathetic, catty driver I have ever witnessed. Sure Plato wasn't likely to win this race having made a hash of the start, but Neal's behaviour during the race hampered any chance of a comeback. Matt Neal is nothing more than a fool, a jealous, petty fool. Even injured Plato showed the ugly git how to drive...

You don't think that Plato would have done exactly the same if the situation has been reversed?Looking at it from an officials point of view Neal didn't do anything wrong, however the same can not be said for Plato with his barging (not only of Neal) and missing chicaines. He's shown over and over that he's no saint.
I agree he is no saint and I don't like the bloke, but neal was out of order and blatant with it, bottom line is the championship was decided on that race and neal had a hand in taking away the excitment for the fans. I even think Plato would have been hard if the positions were reversed but I very much doubt he would have allowed the Vauxhalls through.
I've never been a Plato fan, simply because of his habit of punting people off but this season he's toned that down quite a bit and the battle between him & Giovanardi has been thoroughly enjoyable.
So, up steps the spoilt little daddy's boy (Neal) who is clearly in Vauxhall's pocket for next year to spoil the final race. I sincerely hope he enjoys being Fabrizio's No.2 next year because he certainly won't be pampered like he is at Team Dynamics.
Congratulations to Giovanardi on winning the title as he also seems to be a decent bloke as well as a quality driver, but both him and Plato would have deserved it if the final positions were reversed.

Thats the thing which gets me really. Giovanadi and Jason were happy with how they have raced against each other all season, they were prepared for a good battle in the final race and they demonstrate a mutual respect for each other. Matt Neal is a bit upset with Jason for beating him so he decides to teach him a lesson...A few years ago Matt was a nice, fair guy. Now he comes across as a complete arse.

Had the positions been reversed Plato may have done the same thing (though I doubt it)but I cant believe that deliberately waving two competitors through and then deliberately baulking a 3rd is legitimate racing (when your team is not involved.) And laughable after his we're here to win comments.And thos commenting on Paltos racecraft really shgould take a look at some of the manouveres that Neal has got away with over the years, he is without doubt the dirtiest driver in the series (though Collard was almost as bad)

From what I understand, that was certainly the case. After years of trying they managed to win the TOCA challenge and bag the prize money. After that it seems to have gone to his head and seems a bit of a cock. Quite why he would wave through the Vauxhalls and then try and duke it out with Plato is beyond me. Nah, fully expect him to be racing with Vauxhall in 2008. Plainly cannot cut it with the current team and needs to start winning again. Ok, its to be expected that you go for it as a racing driver, but I have to say that he isnt yet and has given away some of the very valuable points that he keeps bleating on about.
