Proof that the press have been winding you up.

I keep saying that the press have been reporting a pack of lies and the mindless lemmings have believed it.
From today's press conference in Brazil:
He also insisted that his personal relationship with Hamilton was fine, and that the tension between them was a press invention.
"They have been saying many, many things about us but they were not true," Alonso said. "We never had problems with each other, we are fighting on track but outside the track we had very good relationship from day one."
Hamilton backed up Alonso's stance.
"I think it is as good as ever," he said when asked about their relationship. "I think we have got on quite well this year despite what the media have said. They have always tried to put a big gap between us but they have not succeeded, we continue to do our job."

Oh yeah, F1 drivers are easily the most honest and reliable people you could ever hope to speak to.
No party line toeing goes on in that sport at all does it?!
5.0% you are such a complete and utter idiot, you make me quite angry. Only really thick people have the capacity to do this - congratulations.

Don't forget, trolls hate being ignored.
Hamilton and Alonso have both been told exactly what to say both by McLaren and the FIA. If after the race there is an issue then the contracts board can give Alonso the opportunity to leave the team, LH keeps his dignity and his World Championship and Mclaren will not have to pay Alonso to leave!

There's no angle to be had here.
Aloneso has a problem being beating by a rookie and has translated his own failings into the form of a perceived lack of equality from McLaren. FA has an unjust problem with McLaren, but the problem is with himself.
He doesn't have a problem with LH, per se. LH doesn't have a problem with FA, other than finding it hard not to agree with the rest of the non-spanish speaking world that FA has been/being stupid beyond what we thought any reigning champ was capable.
But in any build-up to a finale they're going to say what they've been told to say, just like any boss does to any subordinate.

I agree 5.0%. I've said it before and i'll say it again, Hamilton and Alonso are the bestest of buddies, the press just make up all the conflict between them, the poor little sods. It's also a made up invention by the press that Hamilton is in F1, he hasn't even driven an F1 car before, he works in ASDA in Stevenage. Brilliant work by the press convincing everyone he drives an F1 car and is winning though. I am glad you and me see sense these From today's press conference in Brazil:

ing mindless lemmings will get the comeuppance To quote ITV-F1:
"Three-time world champion Niki Lauda has never been a man for PR-speak; when asked a question he gives crisp, blunt replies. Here he voices some typically trenchant views on Fernando Alonso's recent behaviour...
Q: How do you read the way Alonso has been behaving?
Niki Lauda: It’s unbelievable. How can he do this? I had my times with Ron, he’s not an easy man, but I always knew the limit – I cannot damage my sponsors and I cannot damage the people who pay my money.
Q: Do you have any sympathy for Fernando and what would you do in his shoes?
NL: None at all, to be honest. I have never in my life seen a guy behaving the way he is because, in my upbringing, there has to be a minimum respect.
If you are employed by someone who pays your salary you have to behave according to what they expect you to do, which is even written in a contract.
I was amazed when he said he tested the car, found six tenths and so why is he not number one?
F***, he knew he was never number one. There were two drivers signed up and that was it.
I heard that when Ron walks into the building and says hello, the boss to his employee, he looks away.
This is not normal education. Maybe in Spain they don’t educate themselves in these villages where he comes from, but all these things I do not understand.
In fact, I wonder how he was able to win two world championships with this attitude.
Flavio told me a year ago: don’t underestimate the way this guy thinks... Flavio knew but he certainly wasn’t going to tell Ron!
Q: Do you think Ron didn’t know?
NL: Everybody is surprised, even de la Rosa. I said, Pedro why didn’t you realise before, he’s your Spanish mate? He said, I tell you I was surprised too!
I don’t imagine how a man can put himself in such a position in the paddock, where really nobody wants to talk to him. I know details from McLaren, just listening, which is worse than you’d ever think.
Q: Is it all just about being beaten by a rookie team-mate?
NL: I agree, but if he continues like this and doesn’t realise, he is on the wrong road and he will never win again, I can tell you that.
Q: In Alonso’s position, what would you do?
NL: It will depend on what McLaren does, because he has a contract.
If I was in charge of McLaren the first thing I would do in Brazil, at the last race, I would give him a court case for damage he has done to McLaren and Mercedes.
Because in every contract we all know there are certain rules that if you get paid by someone, you cannot say it is sh*t. So if Mercedes can prove that people will not buy a car because of Alonso’s attitude, there’s damage.
So the first thing I’d do to get things straight is say, I’m suing you for so many dollars. Then let’s sit down, you have a contract my guy, and you drive...
Q: If you were McLaren, you wouldn’t want him in another car, would you?
NL: I would not, because basically they are the strongest couple, there’s no question about it. But you must get his head straight.
You know, sometimes sportsmen aren’t very intelligent, let’s put it this way, and maybe have wrong managers.
They get driven by all these crazy ideas – it’s not my fault, it’s their fault and I can do what I want, and f*** them, and Ron, I don’t even say hello.
But if you face him with a court case for damage and tell him he has to fulfil his contract, suddenly maybe his brain gets a little bit of a shock.
And maybe then you can bring him back, because that is really what the outcome should be.
But as it is developing at the moment, I think it’s really tough to bring him out of his mental state."

I guess there will always be more to this than we will ever know.
However, I would lay a fair wager LH had far more time on the McMerc simulator than FA was led to believe.
And given the longevity of LH relationship with mcLaren I dont even consider him to be a 'rookie' in the strictest sense of the term.
