sure its to do with money but its not cause he's not good behind the wheel, in fact, he was great in that old civic..
and GioV is one of the worlds very best touring car drivers
and Turkington is no slouch but struggled there so maybe triple 8 is concentrating on one man?

Tom is the first to admit that the Vauxhall just didn't suit his driving style and that it was a very hard year trying to make a mark in a team which also included a driver of Gio's experience.
It's interesting to see the comment he has made about how Team Halfords/Dynamics is a small operation very much like Arena where he felt at home. Yes, family money is paying for his (and his brother Max's) racing but then they have never hidden that fact. It's just something other people seem to get very het up about.
I was lucky enough to have a few chats with Tom at Laguna Seca last month when he was racing the Zytek prototype in the ALMS (he came 10th in a very competitive field). He was charming as usual and will always have me as a supporter!

Granted he may be a "nob" and he kept hitting stationary stuff last year but performances like qualifying second at the last race of the year can't be overlooked

IMO he winds people up because he represents the worst side of UK Motorsport - loadsamoney, little talent or real ability. Having seen him go at it for years from karts upwards I'm convinced that he wouldn't get into a banger race on his ability alone.
Having said that he's nothing new and he's not alone. But it's cruel of his dad to also inflict Max on us. And don't tell me that he does have talent...........

dont realy care for him too much to be honest but to be honest most people dislike him coz he is young, good looking and racing cars for a job!!!!! luck *** 
I heard that his old man bungs so much at btcc that his team look like they pay him a wage
but be honest, we would all love to be doing it if we had the chance and its not his fault that his old man is loaded, so fair enough realy.
he was very good in the honda to be fair and I can't agree that qualy counts for NOTHING!!
ok its race results that ultimatly count but a good showing in qualy counts for something,
look how many f1 drivers struggle in qualy yet race well, and its the same for the other way round,
also there is no price you can put on race craft
