When you look at all the alleged sculduggery they have been upto over the years, it does make me laugh.
I remember reading on H H Frenzon's(SP) site a few years ago that he stated MS'S car looked like it had traction control (it was banned) when it was coming out of a corner!
What a joke
Don't think Ron Dennis has anything to worry about.

You don't have to rely on Frentzen to believe that Benetton ran traction control in '94. Benetton themselves admitted it. The question was whether they used it in races.
When the FIA discovered the infamous 13th selection on the menu, they said:
"...the best evidence is that Benetton Formula Ltd was not using 'launch control' at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix."
Benetton admitted that the car's menu showed a launch control function. They argued that it was not operative during races, but was used only for testing. Right...
Speaking of Benetton, cheating, and 1994, bear in mind that in 1994 Benetton did admit to the FIA that they had illicitly removed the filters from their fuel rigs in an effort to speed up the flow during pitstops. The missing filter was the cause of the Jos Verstappen barbeque that set mechanic Steve Matchett alight, and which could have had tragic consequences.

Not difficult to substitute the name "Renault" for "Benetton" and find similar wording in recent FIA transcriptsph123 said:

by far the best comments recently came from Mika Salo when this whole spying saga popped up.......when he drove for Ferrari when Schumacher broke his leg in 1999/2000 ish........after qualifying Ferarri would provide Salo & Irvine with all of McLarens radio conversations regarding set-up and pit strategy........as Ferrari were scanning McLarens radios - which was strictly banned.....now if thats not using someone elses data for your own benefit, then I dont know what is........Ferarri are the as bad if not worse than the rest of the pack when it comes to cheating.

Let us not forget that, the day following his having made that revelation, and after having spoken with his manager, Salo rushed to tell the motorsport media that his remarks the previous day had been misunderstood.
Nothing to do with the fact that Salo was under contract throughout 2007 to drive Ferraris and Maseratis in FIA GT.

I dont recall the rules stating you cant listen to the opositions radio transmitions. I would expect them all to be doing it and i would also expect them all to be encripting their transmitions at that time, Williams certainly were as one of their sponsors was using the team to help promote their radio and data encription technologies.Regional said:
