Maxsport tyres - any views?

Looking for tyres for my BMW 325 compact tarmac rally car. Ideally one set of dry tyres and one set of wets. On a limited budget so Yokos etc out of the question. Options seem to be used tyres or maybe Maxsport remoulds which are around £60 a tyre. Car is used for single venue tarmac rallies. Anyone have any experience of them?

Started using them when we first started rallying. False ecomnomy and a waste of time. Absolutely dogshite tyres. Sure yoko's etc are more expensive, but FFS make the most of your entry fees and effort and buy good rubber.

For tarmac, we now use proper dunlop rally "slicks", and they are amazing. A yoko or a forumla R tyre is nearly as good, and a million times better than Maxsport rubbish.

Thanks for the advice! Which car were you using them on? Can you remember which of their tyres you were using? How's the Mk2 coming along - I've had quite a few myself...
