F1 testing...where and when?

Off work at the moment and was looking to maybe have a few days in europe at a motorsport event or test day to take a few pics.
I know the F1 guys are testing at the moment in Spain but dont know for how long and if they are going anywhere else in the near future for some practice, anybody know??
Also, can you get entry into these test days?

I usually go to Jerez each winter - costs have gone up massively this year, from €3 to €5.
You can also get a coffee for €1 and watch 5-6 hours of continuous testing. On the downside there is no comentary, or timing board so it is a bit hard to spot the fast laps unless you do it yourself.

second point when on earth did they start charging entry for these days!!!! seriously it's a f***ing joke do they not get enough from the teams, and if they were losing money why not put up their charges slightly. spectators equal people looking at teams sponsors making a more worthwhile opportunities for investment.

In fairness to Silverstone, it's an opportunity to make some money so would be daft of them to pass it up.
Over the three day they probably had a few thousand people there each day, at £10 a go.....
It's popular because the grand prix is silly expensive for most people so they know they'll have punters coming through the gate - if you wanna watch, you've gotta cough up...
But my biggest gripe was the really limited access - couldn't see the cars at any of the really quick bits of the circuit or even from the raised seating at Abbey looking down to Bridge, let alone down at Club.

Last years test was the first one they've ever charged the spectators for. It had always been free up till now. The trouble with testing is you don't always get much running, eg if it starts to tip it down they don't generally go out and then you end up paying £10 to get soaked and look an an empty circuit!

I know what you mean, but you're not forced to go and watch. The track is a business and like all businesses it has it's own interests at heart. My advice is to look at the weather forecast before paying your tenner at the gate.Times from today.

I do think that the limited area you get to see for your £10 is not fair.
I have been before for free, and managed to get to see loads, but last time I went, I got put in one corner, and couldn't wander.
I understand the reasons for charging, and although I am unhappy (mainly due to going for free in the past), I would kindly pay £10, if I could wander at my will.....
Won't be going this year.
