Why is it when a young talented F1 driver gets a few idiotic racial taunts thrown at him the world goes completely mad.
But when another young talented driver, this time a rally driver gets a rock thrown at his windscreen in a live stage on Rally Mexico no one gives a sh*t?
Sad really.

Perhaps because WRC Coverage is relegated to a Mickey Mouse channel like Dave therefore limiting it's interest to Motorsport fans as opposed to the casual viewer?

This is actually the first i've heard of this as i've given up on "Dave" and their WRC coverage. So for anyone else who missed Matthew Wilson having a rock lobbed at his car in Mexico..

Rallying is inferior? Not important? And while we're at it, why do they call it a motorsport when only one guy is on the track at once? Where's the sport in that? wink

Some sports have higher profiles than others and therefore will get greater media coverage. What's sad about that?

They did. The commentator talked to Matthew about it afterwards.

But seriously, it wasn't the only incident. Spectators were putting rocks on the road etc too, but then that's always gone on. Don#t know what they can do really.
