Mike Thomas, drove the DC5 in class 2 last year. This year class 1 in a 2007 Seat Leon Supercup.

Anybody else?

May just take the odd day out with my Volvo S60...class 3 or 4, but really more interested in longer events as have spent a lot to that end.

Can anyone decipher this please (taken from the Britcar Website), I have no real idea what it it means!

"The PS1 Championship will be more closely affiliated to Britcar in future as the 24hr Race is an integral part of the future and the stucture of the Silverstone Race.

There has been a growth in the UK over the past few years, with Alan Gow (BTCC) and Dunlop promoting the Max, Seat changing Cars, Clio doing the same and Mini all these things help the PS1 to develope, with this eventually feeding the 24hr Race.

Entries are looking strong for the PS1 and the 24hr, so now is the time to consider your entries to this affordable Championship".

OK - ProductionS1 is an integral part of the Britcar 24 hour race, and competitors in PS1 are encouraged to compete in the 24 hours race. Next year it's likely that PS1 will have its own endurance races of equal length to Britcar.

Production Saloon championships are becoming popular, and with SEAT, Clio and Mini championships all having new cars for 2008, this leaves the abundance of old models on the market as natural entrants into PS1.

I can't vouch for the facts, but that's more or less the intent of the message.

I might even get the Golf out again this year for a few of the production S1 rounds.

Drivers excuses as follows smile

The power steering failed very early on, although one of the mechanics called me a big girl, Becketts and Farm without is very interesting. We also tried a new setup on the back for the race. I have noted never ever to use it again. The two combined made for a piece of ballet rather than a race, a very lively back end and a steering wheel that wouldn't turn. Congrats to everybody that raced and finished it was an interesting day.

Oh I don't know. We were over the moon to complete the distance with a new car, new team and new drivers. This season is very much development and we're a good 40bhp down on everyone else which was very apparent at Silverstone.

To say we were very happy with the result would be an understatement!

Cheers
