With the mounting restrictions on F1 cars and the engine freeze how long do you think it will be until GP2 cars are running similar lap times? Considering in GP2 they use slicks and are nearly 600 hp already I don't think it would take much to make them as quick as an F1 car. Also I think F1 is in serious risk of being eclipsed by other open wheel series if they keep moving backwards.

I am aware that they are probably reintroducing slicks in F1 in 2009 but this will be offset with aero restrictions I believe. Does anyone know if the overall speed of the cars will stay the same or will they be quicker/slower with the slick tyres? Certainly the performance has been moving backwards since the V10 days.

Never.

Bernie and the FIA will not allow it and the regulations will be tailored to ensure that there is always a good size gap.
