BTCC - "Spy in the Cab" - Fuji F30? What's that all about?

Anyone know anything about the BTCC "Spy in the Cab" Fuji F30 cameras?
Are they just a std Fuji F30 or are they modified in some way? How are they mounted?

Seem strange they use a consumer camera for this.

Driver Discipline
A range of penalties can be imposed against offending drivers. These include fines, loss of qualifying times, drive-through penalties, points deductions, relegation on the starting grid, exclusion from the results, suspension from the next race(s) and so on. Helping officials enforce driver discipline is a ‘spy in the cab’ – Fuji’s digital F30 camera that is fitted inside all cars and used by officials when examining incidents. Video evidence made available within ten days of an incident may be used for grounds of an enquiry, even if the incident has already been investigated.

As in 2006, Fujifilm will continue to supply ‘spy cameras’ inside all BTCC cars to help officials enforce driver discipline. Driving in a manner inconsistent with general safety (giving him a tap as you turn in, or using the car in front as your brake)General contact.
Though they put a clause in the "Blue Book" which allows the race director to "overlook" driving offences which would normally result in Black Flag/Exclusion in anything other than the BTCC. TOCA know that one of the reasons the BTCC is successful is that people just love to see the cars crashing into each other.
Why don't they just take it (the BTCC) to Plough Lane (Wimbledon) or better still Hednesford Hills (Cannock) and run on a figure of 8 circuit, like they do with the Bangers!
It's £1,000,000 a season banger racing, and gives the rest of the sport a bad name, and leads by a bad example.
