you're first equal in class with us, or at least you should be.
Pete and I have been in training since Silverstone, if Snetterron is run in 34 degree heat and we all have to use 125cc 2 stroke race karts I'm your man ! (where else in the world can you fine tune your traffic skills using unsuspecting tourists on 4 stroke rental hondas

We must have a round of the championship out here - the Britcar winter series (same same Britcar in England but less money and fewer rules, well alright less money anyway

30 odd degrees lower and you might be spot on for Snett, We won't be at the Snetterton race weekend as Jan is in Dubai earning us some pennies selling oil rig parts, spare donkeys (nodding type) and steel christmas trees, the latter being attached to well heads
I think you are right, we should be somewhere at the top with you chaps, shame we didn't play the joker
We will be at the A1 Brands and then the rest thereafter and I believe that it will be a hell of a lot closer between all of us in class 2 from now on, lets face it, we were bloody lucky at Silverstone as you and most of the others got caught up in the "extended" pit stops and did well to get as far up as you did.

I was pleased to see that there is going to be some close racing this year. The marcos' were clearly struggling in the wet but give them a dry race and I have no doubt normal order will resume. The same is true of the Ferraris. Who ever does win class 2 will definately have earnt their victory. My only hope is that the class isn't won with the luck of the joker - I think it's a bad idea and could make a bit of a mockery out of what is a seriously competetive championship.
Fancied a nodding donkey at 911virgin towers just on the off chance we hit lucky although success would require a bit of a stock valet until we can we can cap off !

I agree mate, the Joker may not be one of the better idea's, we will just have to see how it pans out.
I suppose it's the same for all of us, luck will play a part but as in my regular poker games, it's knowing when to use it and making sure that whatever skill you bring to the party, you use it in conjunction with the play.
It's an interesting little psychological side show really, as we will all play our Jokers when we feel we have the best chance of a good result, do you play it early in the season when the car is fresh? or do you wait for your favorite track or indeed, leave it until the end of the season when others have played theirs with varying results and may call it a day due to disappointments, budget or what have you, thus less competition.
As you say, it's more to do with factors not directly linked with the pure aspects of competition.
