Anyone ever done this one? I am going down there at the end of May for a and have chosen to drive down - rather than the very easy process of Ryanair straight to Pau from Stansted (yes, numptie, I know).
Speed Ferries into Boulogne and then pretty well peage all the way I guess but interested to hear from others that may have done that length of drive. Will clearly not be taken the sprint machine but the trusted A4 2.0tdi which will happily sit there at 130km/hr for years and still give me circa high 40's mpg.The route appears to be aim for Le Mans, Poitiers, Bordeaux and then stop when you hit the pyrenees....

Take your Tiger, allow an extra day or so, stay OFF the peages and enjoy it. France is full of awesome back roads! It'll be a road trip you wont forget...

I get your point and am doing exactly that in July!! The Pau thing is also to catch up with a mate that has moved down to Cognac and is really intended to be a four day break so Audi it is.
