NASCAR Aarons 499 - Talladega
Discussion
Plate racing is excellent, particularly at Talladega and that one was really good, it absolutely trumped the F1 for entertainment value. The four plate races are nothing like any of the other races on the calendar, or any other races anywhere that I can think of.
One of the laps that the 20 and 11 did while joined up was over 198mph average according to the online timing so I'm expecting them to reduce the plate size again before the next Daytona race.

I hope not otherwise there going to spoil it. What where the cars doing a few years ago around Talladega? 220mph average and reaching 240 in drafts?
3 Fastest ever qualifying laps in NascarEdited by Logie on Monday 28th April 14:14
1. Bill Elliott's 212.809 MPH lap at Talladega in 1987
2. Bill Elliott's 210.364 MPH lap at Daytona in 1987
3. Geoff Bodine's 197.478 MPH lap at Atlanta in 1997
The fastest track at the moment is Texas Motor Speedway, Talladega is only 5th on the top speed chart.
Nascars didn't go as quick as 220-240 alone or in drafts, the Indycars could barely touch those speeds.
