Hi Dan

There's a Nottingham Sports Car Club sprint at Curborough on Sunday 11th. It's not a massive field - I think there are about 40 entrants. The usual mix of stuff from Peugeot 205s up to single seaters. I'm in the blue Elise if you go & fancy a chat...

Cheers

Jim

Mate - if you're interested in having a go you should definitely come down on Sunday. It's a really friendly club so people will be more than happy to talk to you about sprinting. There are no Skylines competing unfortunately but there are a couple of Scoobies, loads of Elises, Westfields, Clios, 106s, a load of single-seaters and even a Lada Samara apparently!

I presume you've seen the NSCC website (www.gosprinting.co.uk)? There's some useful information on there but basically you can compete in anything and you don't need any modifications to the car if it's read legal. Last year's NSCC champ drove a 106, for instance.

The weather forecast's looking good, so it should be a good day's sprinting!

do you have a timetable?

Practice is due to start at 9am. With the size of the field, I would imagine that we'll get two practice runs & possibly 1 timed run before lunch. There will be an hour's lunch break, probably starting 12.00-12.30ish. Then it will be timed runs until probably about 4-4.30ish.

As the field is only 40-odd, you'll be able to turn up at pretty much any time and be able to see everything run in about an hour or so. Lunchtime will be best for wandering round and having a general natter.

Hope this helps

Jim
