Masters Historic at Brands this weekend

We bought tickens for my wifes grandad for his 70'th, expect to see him on a grand-stand with a big grin

I should be going, it will be great to see all the historic cars blasting around Brands again, from what I hear its one of the best event of the year at brands Hatch. I just hope the weather hold out.

Yup - my mate raved about it last year. On the GP circuit these cars will be fierce. The weather looks a tad questionable but they got it completely wrong a few weekends ago for the A1GP so I wouldn't take any notice of the forecast.

I'm picking a car from Tonbridge on Saturday so as it's soooo close I'm off to look at MSV website to see what's happening on Saturday - wonder how to tell the Wife that we are not going straight home!

I just tried to order a ticket from Brands Hatch website to save some money, £16 if you book online, but get this, the only option you get for the post is recorded delivery which will bump the price to over £20. So why the hell would I buy a ticket online when the price on the door is £20 pounds.

That a real good idea then, WTF!

I did exactly the same last night.
I think that the postage would be cheaper if you had tried to book earlier (i.e. not special delivery @£4.50, as its only a few days to go)

But - had you been buying a few tickets it would have worked out cheaper.

I've just studied the schedule with a bit more care.

The Group C cars that were the highlight of last years Masters Historic Festival are not in the programme this year.

The World Sportscar Masters (pre '74 Sportscars and Prototypes) are still running and will be great but I'm gutted not to be seeing the Group C cars...
