It's my local circuit and the spectator side of things is pretty good. You can get to pretty much anywhere on the inside of the 1st half of the circuit and you can watch the bombhole/coram from both sides I think. As has been said the final chicane is quite a good place to watch from as you quite often get some ill-advised overtaking there as cars try and outbrake eachother before they've got it straightened up from Coram. Look at the BTCC the other year!
It's local to me too. It's no Silverstone or Donington when it comes to extent of viewing- as already said unless you want fast corners there's only really two places to see overtaking action- the Esses / Bombhole which is at the end of the main straight and the Russell chicane which is a right-left after a very quick right-hander. This will be where most of the action will be.
Best viewing here is from the infield- the brave will be on two wheels over the kerbs
. Pls you'll be close to the paddock and pit garages and the delights of Tyrells. You'll need to bear right after the circuit entrance and go over the bridge that crosses the back straight.

As rolty says, it's pretty good for spectators.The view to Russell is ever so slightly elevated, so you can see the cars arriving through Coram, and screwing up in the chicane, and the glorious sound of hard accelerating onto the straight.
It's also the part of the circuit closest to toilets.
You can view pretty much anywhere, and some people do go and sit up on the bank of the Revett straight, but you'll not see much more than cars coming round Sear, tearing past at X leptons then braking for the Esses.
Get your chairs and sit at Russell IMO, it's a 2 minute walk across to the back straight if you fancy a change of scenery. Have fun.
Sorry but I disagree with everyone above, I have raced and watched there plenty of times and would consider it one of the worst circuits for viewing as you can see such a small stretch of the track. Also (I don't know if this is still the same) the commentators can't see much more than the spectators and just fill time for 2/3 of the lap, so you never know what is happening on the back side of the circuit. With regard to Tyrrells I don't know what everyone is talking about, it serves the same four meals as every other circuit! (this must be like the 'best bacon roll in the world' myth at Lydden!

Have to disagree with some of the above;
Riches is good for limit handling, Sear, you can't get to. The end 300 metres of Revitt Straight is good for speed/hard braking, Esses is good for wheel to wheel racing and those kamakaze dives under braking, bombhole produces some twitches and a bit of sideways some times, Coram is an off camber fast righthander that leads to a bit of grass collecting and some outbraking manoevres into Russel. Start finish (Senna) straight is boring (just for a bit more controversy).
The grub it Tyrells is good.
The grub in Brands Hatch's version may be slightly better.
