If FIA were to lose F1, would it still have a viable future? Assuming it does, if F1 buggered off somewhere else, would it mean that some of the branches of motorsport strangled by Max and Bern (allegedly) over the years to keep F1 at the pinnacle of motorsport would have some form of renaissance?

Oh and unless this is a scheme that MAx and Bern have cooked up between them, hasn't Max just pissed off his biggest supporter?

I found Bernie's repeated references to "credibility", "respect" and "impartiality" with respect to the FIA, and the position of President in particular, to be highly amusing.

Yes, I thought those touches in the letter were very well done. To the average reader, they might slip by unnoticed. To Max, they're the literary equivalent of a slap in the face.
