New McLaren book

I bought the new book on McLaren by William Taylor at the weekend and have managed to get chance to have a look through - it looks to be a superb history of the road and racing cars. I am looking forward to having more time to read it, although I am not sure it is one to read from cover to cover it is certainly very detailed and has great information on all the cars made. One for the coffee table!

The Lotus Book is excellent, so this should be every bit as good

If you're interested in the pre-Ron Dennis Mclaren then Phil Kerr's biography To Finish First is a good read. Phil grew up with Bruce Mclaren and worked firstly for Jack Brabham and then for Bruce when he set up his own team. Usual discounts at Amazon etc.

Yes, that was a very interesting read.
I must admit, however, that my admiration for Kerr plummeted when he spoke of his latter days working in a close triumverate with Max and Bernie.
