mind you im pleased with my progress haveing found 4 seconds from qualifying to race 2.

getting there slowly but surely, but still some way to go before being able to challenge anyone else in B. ( but still loving it)

Had the car on the ramp today to look at the real damage, its not so bad as we thought! (thank god) The chassis is in line and the engine had ripped from its mounts, the rear exhaust manifold on the n/s was flattend by the impact with tyre wall, steering rack is bent as well as n/s rear suspension arm which made the car drive like a Range Rover on stilt's but can't complain as I finished in the points in both races. Dad is off to Spain and has left orders to prepare the car ready for Silverstone. So im pleased, me and the boy have just got to bring it all together while he's away. See you all at big one. Well done Mickey for taking the shunt so well, and showing a mature attitude to driving the car post repairs. Was good to see you pick up some points from what started as a disastrous weekend for you. Good show.

Just phoned Silverstone and also fully booked on Fri 1st August. Nothing available there at all now before the next round . . . large reserve list for both too - which I've joined but little chance I suspect.

Numpty question alert.

Can anyone tell me if you just turn up as a spectator, or do you need to get tickets in advance? Also where do you find a timetable for the weekend?

Yes you can just turn up I think it's about £14 per adult for entry. Kids free I think.
You can pre-book from the Silverstone website and save a few ££.

As the days roll on I'm getting more and more optimistic that I'll be there. I'll know for sure by the end of next week. Car is well on its way to being fixed.
