Hi there,
According to the Daily Mail today they reckon Schumacher was returning from a car racing event at Silverstone.
Now I was at Silverstone all day Friday and all day Sunday, I had full media access and never even heard a whisper that Schumacher was attending.
According to the paper he was driving a Fiat Ducato van. Come on.... so the seven times formula 1 champion drives himself to Silverstone in a Fiat van and no-one at Silverstone sees him.

I think this incident provides a fascinating insight into Michael's personality. I always wondered what drove him to compete, what part of his personality protected him from the stress and controversy, and this story provides some candid information. I have heard all the negative stories about his personality, but the positive ones about his dedication, work ethic, family life, and his fairly even keeled nature on camera, have maybe masked some of his unpleasantness.
To overtake a car, then hit a pedestrian in the street, and then berate the pedestrian, blaming him for getting hit, is ridiculous, and I think no fair person would do likewise. I think assigning blame automatically to others, energetically developing reasons why the responsibility lies elsewhere, is his defense mechanism to protect himself, to ward off stress and shame, allowing him to work efficiently and untethered to and undistracted by introspection (Interestingly, this is in great contrast to Hill, who talked about his difficulties with introspection during his career in last months Motorsport.)
The fact that the pattern repeats, again, and crosses into his private life is telling.

Looking at the news report It looks a bit more like
"Brain dead southern car dealer swings a 20ft steel pole into the roadway and wonders why a car hits it??"
Sorry but looking at the position of the post retaining v's on the inside of the path it is painfully obvious that the car dealer idiot had no need to be anywhere near the road. He has obviously swung the pole around into the path of a car. the car has hit the pole which has clouted the stupit t
