Andy Priaulx - Autobiography

Just finished reading this, it isn't taxing. Can't help admire the fact that he is a triple WTCC Champion and obviously hasn't had the easiest of passages to get there, but the whole book is errrr rather lightweight and incredibly repetitive. I'd struggle to recommend it. Struggling is a common theme, along with too numerous references to Guernsey grit, and the references to drawing on internal spiritual energy.(!)

He also goes at great lengths in the text to denounce his background (Father established in M/sport fraternity + garage owner) and to divorce himself from the monies that pitched him into motorsport at a tender age.

So just what is the real story on Andy Priaulx and how long before an unofficial book balances the picture?

I enjoyed it personally.

Got an insight into the real costs of motor racing and what it takes.

cant help but think that he is just enormously talented behind the wheel and thereis no "hidden" story. watched his early hillclimbing exploits and he was to hillclimbing then, what Graeme Wight Jr and Scott Moran are now, young hard chargers. he has demonstrated speed in every championship/car he has driven. there are lots of examples whereby he shows a strong determination and should be evidence enough that he wanted to prove himself outside of his family wealth.
