I wonder if that's 7 rounds and 8 races as one seems to be a two race event. If only 6 ROUNDS count, does that mean 7 races or otherwise.

Just flagging this up as we have trouble at present defining this years championship rounds/races/drops/jokers etc etc

I heard it was reading aswell from a very reliable source

street race at reading i heard that too JT even showed me a picture of the area it was being hosted at around the football stadium area and ind pk. as a second class memeber in britcar ie ps1 (not my words) any news on venues for us, plus ps1 are going to get a new name for next year, PS a quick thankyou to all you britcar boys for locking all your garages for our first race of ps1 we all got very wet waiting around for hour and a half

So no plans for anything at Green Park in Reading?

(I'd be surprised as it would cost a huge amount to modify the roads and instal appropriate barriers etc, plus the roads round green park are not terribly wide. But then I was surprised to see a someone else mention a rumour that I had already discounted....)

A street race around Green Park, Reading would be awesome! It would need some big installations for the set up - I don't know whether the roads are adopted or private - private would be easier - but obviously planning would be required regardless.

Having thought about it for more than the initial 30 seconds of 'that would be fab'... I think it would probably prove prohibitively expensive to organise. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see if it happens. I'd often thought about one through the centre of Basingstoke as many of the roads are quite wide ie dual carriage way.

Now that's a lot clearer, 7 Rounds, 8 races, 7 to count.

Excellent, now we know where we are points wise etc for 2009

Anyone care to take a crack at rationalising the 2008 points/rounds/races system?

Well im still waiting for a reply on a matter that happened at brands and suggested something needed to be done to make the penalty for pit stop work better, i ever came up with a solution, but to no avail. But i do understand your point, its a shame the forum was taken off the eerc site.

I know that the pit-stop problem was logged and when the 2009regs hit the britcar website in the next few hours, you will see the changes that will be implemented a the next race meeting, jt did explain the MSA has a way of changing regs half way through a season although it is generally 'not done'.

thats fine sorry to bring it up but this is the first ive heard of it, but to be fair it wasnt a msa blue rule change we were looking for, it was a add to the britcar regs which could have been done earlier in the year, as i had be told at the brands meeting by the stewards.

Well I don't agree with some aspects of what I see as a mildly patronising post, there is nothing wrong with people airing their views on this or any other forum in the absence of our own. Most comments are positive, and in the main, those who contribute do so because they care about the subject matter, we really don't need any pointers on how, when, and where we should direct our idea's and comments.

Supposition Sir, is often an established means of getting at the facts, for it generally leads to a statement that either clarifies the position or takes us a little closer to the truth.
