Return to America: Where would you like to see F1?

Eccs talking about an American GP for 2010 or 2011, possibly at Indianapolis, possibly else where. Where would you like to see formula one in the US? I'll cast a vote for Laguna Seca, I think it would be a great one for them to do but the track might need some renovation. What's your take?

I think Laguna Seca definately would be great to see, they'd have to get the track up to FIA standards. The first two tight turns and the corkscrew would really challenge the drivers aswell as the cars.

There are some awesome circuits in the States. I'd go for Road Atlanta or Road America.

I agree with RichBeard, Laguna Seca would be great but how about considering Road America too? It´s a great track and the name is pretty good also.

I'd vote for Road America.

Laguna Seca, though a real challenging of a circuit, doesn't seem to provide many overtaking opportunities.

I'd love for the Canadian or maybe North American grand prix to be from Mosport, fantastic track. A real track, saw ALMS there last year and it was fantastic. They had a formula BMW race as an opening act, but oh to see F1 cars around there would be fantastic. They would need to renovate the pits though, they are way out of date for F1.

I'd love to see F1 at Road America. Laguna would be nice, but I can't imagine it's anywhere near safe enough, so they'd doubtless hack it to pieces and put chicanes everywhere.

or perhaps just stick it near Modena and be done with it...

Anywhere other than laguna seca. Reason being whilst it's a fabulous circuit, the changes they'd have to make for it to comply with bernie's roadshow would ruin it for the rest of the events that use it.
It's perfect as it is, use road america imo.

Answer is simple now...

Dead and buried, 6ft under, along with those prick Bernie/Max/Ferrari and everyone at the FIA.

I can't see F1 going back to the US anytime soon, if Indianapolis can't afford Bernie's tarriff with grandstands that hold 400,000 I can't see any of the other US circuits managing it either. The best possibility might be another Las Vegas car park job with a casino picking up the tab.

Pity really as there are some fabulous road circuits in the US.

another vote for road america. leave laguna seca for series that won't force any changes. might be interesting to see the F1 cars go round the oval indy circuit too
