Monza GP general admission tickets - urgent advice please

I went in '02 with a grandstand seat but wandered about on the friday and saturday.Don't recall the GA areas being that good or very large but there was definitely viewing at the second Lesmo and along the back straight. The area at Lesmo was very small but close to the track so worth it if you could get a spot. Imagine you would have to be there very early though.
Has the potential to be a cracker, just don't forget to wear a MacLaren top!

You should be able to find a spot here but there's not much action and you'll have helicopters taking off and landing directly behind you.
As mentioned the Lesmo curves are probably a better option and a bit more atmospheric...

It's one of the races on the calendar with 'history'.
I went in 2006. The tifosi camp out on most of the good spots. We ended up at a spot just after the first chicane. The camp site (Full from Thurs onwards) splits up that side of the race track, so (in 2006) you had to exit the circuit then use the park to get round the grandstands.
Ended up making friends with some German fans and sharing a home built stand they put together out of a table and bench. Some other fans arrived later and started constructing their own grand stand using scaffolding poles.
Even though I was standing on a table you can see the height of the fences here.
