Any 24hr teams still looking for crew members?

My friend and I have booked tickets for the 24 hr, but we'd like to get a little bit more involved than just watching it.

Are there any teams out there that need a couple of extra hands to wash wheels or do any other task that no one else wants to do? My friend and I have both done karting and have worked on our University's Formula student car so we wont be completely useless.

I appreciate that this is a bit cheeky, but I can assure you that we would put in 110% to help the team complete the race. If anyone would like to give us a try, please let me know. Feel free email me at [e-mail] if you'd prefer to discuss the details off the forum.

If nobody takes up your offer you could alway help us marshals out, we appear to have a very healthy turnout this year but always need more.

That's a great idea. The marshalls do such a fantastic job. Without them, we can't race. It's a great way of getting involved and adding to the event.

Scottishmarshal - we won't be providing our band this year, but I'm sure that we'll catch up for a beer over the weekend. As always, thanks to you and all the chaps for your help, time and hard work.

Cheers Kevin, it works both ways though - without you guys we cannot marshal

So no purple spotted motorhomes either, oh well. No doubt bump into you at some point, or if anyone is wondering around the back of the paddock feel free to come and join us - you cannot miss where the northern contingent will be on the marshals campsite, parked nearby to a giant saltire flag on the motorhome and 32ft x 12ft gazebo with several men in skirts inside partaking in a small aperitif. (apparently).

This year we have 25 orange romper suit clad jocks coming down from Knockhill plus 7 from Croft & 1 from Ireland joining us so should be a good laugh. The figure of 300+ marshals is being quoted as volunteering in total so we should be able to push you out the gravel a bit quicker!!! Compare that to what Bernies circus will get next year and it just goes to show what a good event everyone has made this and how well we get treated by the organisers and the teams.

See you all next week, in the paddock of course - hopefully not on the track.
