He's probably the one team boss who can say stuff like that with impunity though. But it's good that someone, anyone, has made such a comment because I really doubt the manufacturers are fussed about another race in Spain, Singapore or the other extra one in the Middle East.

At least there is one influential individual willing to speak his mind about the dull state of F1 racing (granted that this season has been more action-packed than others of late, but it should still be better).

Over a season, in equal cars, there can't be much between Kimi, Massa, Hamilton, Alonso and Kubica.

Seems the press release was written sometime before the last race "I hope he'll get back to winning ways in the next Grand Prix in Belgium." Unless Ferrari are giving him a year to shape up

Exact - anyone would think this is a team sport - christ help my team mate - maybe with a gun to my head!

Mind you Heiki or whatever his name is - he is doing sod all in the other McLaren. He is just a push over if LH or any of the top guys get near him.

Must say, its the first time i've heard that mentioned on PH. Its usually Massa who gets slated like there's no tommorrow.

Depends really if he could handle being second best at fezza, hard hat to bear and NOTHING to do with his excellent driving ability.

Ummm I was pondering this for a while and would be hard pressed to say if the Massa / Alonso combination would be a winner... but its a line up that I would have like to have seen. Irrelevant now.

So whats Alonso upto for the next few years then? He's obviously still got many years left infront of him, really want to see him in an equal bit of kit to Hamilton again soon.

Sounds he he subscribes to the Gilles Villenuve School of Racing: hero or zero.

I'd have liked Massa to move to Mclaren with LH and Alonso to fill his shoes at Ferrari with KR.

Would have made for some interesting team mate battles...
