Looking back on the last couple of seasons and seeing how there seems to be fewer decisions based on racing and more based on provoking the fan base and increasing the drama...

I wonder if everyone is not in on the act and its all about to turn "american wrestling"?
With the lack of overtaking and real racing that goes on, how difficult would it be to "script" an F1 season to get the crowds worked up? A cliffhanger here, a dubious referee call there, some scandal away from the main stage... its all starting to sound very familiar.

..just a thought.

It's all looking more and more staged to me as we draw to the close of the season.

So at the begining of the year everyone complains that the racing isnt exciting enough, and now as we head into the last two races suddenly its a 3 way fight for the championship...

far too well scripted for my liking.

I reckon in a few years we'll be told to Text F1+LH for Lewis to win, Text F1+FM for Felipe to win etc. Votes will be counted during the last lap and the driver with the most votes wins

I assume you mean like the rigged competitions where the winner has already been chosen?

I'm predicted that the gap at the top of the tabel will be less than 3 points at the end of the next race and then Massa will win the championship by no more than two points in Brazil because his car is red.

And if anyone from mclaren is reading this, top tip for next year...

..paint your cars red!

I've got to say that I thought the stewards and the FIA had a great opportunity to get it right today. I'm a big Hamilton fan, but I thought his penalty was 100% correct. However, I personally think the penalty was for gaining a position through running off the track in the first corner, NOT for pushing the Ferrari wide. I thought Massa's penalty was also 100% justified, especially as the slow motion seems to show him deliberately turning into the side of Hamilton (watch it, and judge for yourselves).

So, Imagine my dismay when I looked at the ITV-F1 websire after the race only to find out that Bourdais had been given a penalty for the incident with Massa. Sorry, but this is just completely ridiculous, and IMO only done to give Massa and Ferrari the extra point. How can they possibly justify this penalty ?

Why do you think the sports governing body has had to wait for 58 years before applying penalties to first corner argie-bargies?

Because Hamilton is a black man. Obviously.

Are you suggesting the FIA are racist?

They are all Ferrari owning Nazi racists. Well thats what you might deduce after spending much time on this forum. Not my opinion.

I wouldn't say all of them are, but there is evidence to suggest that the President once was, and he has never renounced this.

Bottom line is that Lewis made a crap start, and then tried to recover it all in the first corner. He'd do well to remember the old adage that you can't win in the first corner, but you can lose (which he undoubtedly did today). In this case it has nothing to do with him being black, white or yellow with green spots, and i strongly object to TomTVR implying that that's what I meant. Whether the FIA is institutionally racist or not has nothing to do with this particular penalty. As I said before, Lewis massively outbraked himself, and left the track, making back the place over KR as he did so. That's why he got the penalty, NOT because of his skin colour, or because he forced the Ferrari off line.

TomTVR, if your only arguement is that we are all anti racists, then it's pretty weak, and I suggest you grow up.
