custom HT Leads

I need some custom length HT leads, from my P38 coil pack's to the plugs.
The coil pack uses the old style ends same as the dissy ones.

I think Joo's can make and supply, unless there anything better.

also would you mesure tip to tip or just the cable lenth.

Try Magnecore they are supposedly the best in the business they will make whatever you want

As Leigh says he has heard mixed reviews. I have only heard good things about them. The guy who built our Chevy engine who is very respoected in the business sorted us a custom made set and would not use anything else. I think Dean uses them on his Tuscan and I run them on my Discovery with no problems. They are a lot better than the ones that TVR were putting on the Tuscans in their hay day.

Only my opinion though

Buy Moroso leads from Real Steel, make them to length yourself, just need a vice crimp tool available from RS as well. Far better than over-priced Magnecors and far better performance.

I've sent Joo's Track car an email as he going to make me some.

On a side note is it ok to use resistive plugs and resistive caps (5K) each. total 10K

Thats what we did mate, and we've had no issues in 2 years.

I have to say that its not unusual for magnecors to come off. The silicone base they use is just too slippy imho, they don't seal on. I bought two sets (red-race 10s and blue-track 8s) and lost leads several times which ended up with leads damaged on the hot headers.

when we went to a mallory dizzy (for something else) and we had to use their leads, which you cut to fit yourself, and not had an issue once since. I do use heat socks on the plug extenders now...more to guarantee under race conditions...but they are worth investing in too!

Thats my experience anyway.

:heh: It was only my experience of them... I had about 5 sets between the chim taz and disco and they all ended up in the bin.... surprisingly luminition ones worked a lot better on the discovery, and the tuscan ended up with a set from jamie and still has them :-) I found the MC ones broke down quite quickly and I got a lot of misfire issues..

Your right though damp string would be better than stock TVR !!!

If anyone is interested, I have a brand new set of those custom Moroso leads in blue at home which I no longer have use for... I was going to put them on my Chim but ended up with two sets somehow! Anyway if anyone is interested, pm me!

No, they're still uncut and accompanied by a bag of fittings to crimp on once you've cut the length down. 135 degree plug ends IIRC
