Colin MacRae Forest Stages Rally

Well, it was a bit damp, but what a turnout of RWD Escorts - 49 entries in all. There's one pic of each car on SS2 up on my Flickr pages. SS5 was cancelled after Jimmy MacRae went off on the stage, and some muppet phoned 999. The attending Fire Engine apparently got stuck, blocking the stage. Jimmy was OK though...

I was at Historic Motorsport in Daventry last weekend and saw the Rothmans Escort and others being prepared.

It was good to see - there was more classic rally machinery on that rally than you could shake a stick at... Hillman Avenger, Opel Kadett, Chevette, Imp, Talbot Sunbeams, Sierra, Dolly Sprint, etc etc...
