in light of all the recent goings on, and the fact he only needs to finish directly behind Massa to be WDC, you'd think he could avoid all the banzai stuff at the start going into Turn 1? I really want to see him WDC but he seems incapable of keeping his head!!

yeah Gary - it was a big mistake to be fair - but i think it wasn't as bad as it looked.

Cold tyres, braked too late - lock up was dramatic because of the smoke and the other cars around.

Can't knock him for being a racer - but i hope he plays the percentages for the next two races.

Unfortunately now he has made it more difficult for himself

it was small mistake but the consequences multiplied and ended up big. of course the multiplier/operator was largely the race stewards. Mass played his part too.

True,even Ron has said Lewis should be more prudent.
But I still want to see some racing action on the track.

I don't think his actions into the first corner warranted a penalty, but he had already shagged his own chances by flat-spotting both front tyres to the canvass on lap one. I think he lost the nut a bit.
