F1 Commentary - a suggestion

Now, quite a few of us find the commentary of ITV lacking in some respects, whether it be the perceived bias in favour of Hamilton, or just general ill feeling towards James Allen.

So - I've got an idea (bearing on mind I am not particularly technically minded);

How about for each race one of us does the commentary for the race, and have the audio streamed live over the Pistonheads site? This has the potential to be quite amusing, and there may even be a new Murray in our midsts. There could even be commentary duos, with an experienced racer and an enthusiastic amateur.

Now, I have no idea what software one might need to do this. Is it feasible?

To be clear, in no way am I suggesting I would be good at this, particularly after my "air temperature" gaffe (cheers s3fella!).

I did briefly consider multi user streaming but that would probably descend into a Ferrari / McLaren argument.

So would this work? And does anyone think it would be a good idea?

I didn't realise they did that (not much of a football fan) but it does sound similar.

I envisaged us doing the commentary from home on the computer.

At the same time, I'll suggest it to Richard (Porter) see if he and Gareth Jones would be up for it! Now THAT would be a commentary team.

I REALLY like this idea. Should be easy to do even if PH veto it. You can set up a simple shoutcast server. Many different ways of doing it.
