Lewis out playing golf

Wasn't going to post this as there has already been a lot about Lewis over the last year but, what the hell! 
Lewis was in the clubhouse drinking coffee at 8:30am last Saturday. He arrived with his dad this time, normally it's his uncle. While Anthony is quite happy to chat with people there, Lewis does not talk to anyone.
It looks like his public image is far different from his private one. That's quite understandable considering the high profile he has had over the last couple of years.
He is also exactly the same age as my youngest daughter. Although they were not at the same school, she has friends who were. The over riding impression from these friends are; "he was not a nice person at school, a bit of a bully"
I suppose that's also understandable. You do not become world champion by "being nice"
Look at other successful men. Schumacher, Bernie E and probably even Alan Sugar were no doubt right gits!

I suspect he's been advised to keep himself to himself in situations like that because he'd be swamped everywhere he went and he wouldn't have any down time.
No different to other people in his position, like film stars, sports stars and others.

I think that this sort of thing is pathetic!! We finally have a worthy British F1 World Champion (i don't think Damon was!!) and as per usual all we can do is find ways to slate him. The guy may have been having a s

The guy has to put up with having his every step being written about in the media, which i know comes with the job, but i for one don't blame him for not wanting to speak to everyone and why should he. If he did he'd never get to a race and win 8 more world championships!
Why can't threads start with the nice points rather than them having to come out after a slating thread.

Gotta agree.. I can be a right grumpy arse some days for no particular reason. I agree with you so why bother to slate-off Damon? The Williams team technicians credited him as being one of the best drivers they'd had for years and a worthy champion, remember he was up against Schumacher... stin said:

But i do see where you are coming and i should have worded my initial comment better.
For what it's worth I think Damon was an excellent driver yet for some reason seems to be treated lightly by journalists. Perhaps because unlike Hunt or Mansell he didn't have a personality that they could "expand" upon 
He was, and indeed still is, a genuinely nice guy who won the world championship. I wonder if people would give him more credit if he were the two-times champion that he deserved to be. Who knows...
p.s. I knew Damon long before he made it into F1 so I am a little defensive about the lack of recognition he gets for his achievement.

Damon hill was indeed a worthy champ and should have won two titles. 
Sorry to reply here about the Hill thing rather than Hamilton but how can you seriously say Hill wasn't a worthy champion?!?!?!!? Anybody with eyes and not on Bernie's payroll know that Damon won 2 world championships!!!!
World championships aside he finished second in an arrows in hungary!!!!! No wet weather or nothing AND he should have won that race but he spent the last 10 laps or so stuck in 5th gear!!!! It was one of the greatest races if you ask me and gutting that he didn't win it over Villeneuve after Williams dumped him!!!
Remember he stepped out of his fathers shaddow, into Nigel Mansell seat, along side Alain Prost and beat Michael Schumacher!!!!! Not an easy role to fill and he did make some mistakes but he still did it and did it well!!!!!!!!
