I reckon Luca di Montezemolo is after Max Rufus' slot, so to speak, and he sees the leadership of FOTA as a stepping stone.
Whether this is a good thing or not will, of course, remain to be seen. Max Rufus was seen as the saviour of fair play following the surprise (to some - most espectially the bloke himself) voting that rid the sport of Balestre. And give Max Rufus his due, in the first few years he seemed a massive improvement, at least to me. It wasn't until the Indy FiAsco that I began to realise what many others had already seen.

And with regards to Mosley staying, didn't someone say something about looking into the abyss? Something about Mosley's eyes staring right back at you?

They would have known that already.In the '01 election, Mosley's reign was seriously threatened by a rival (IIRC, it was Darbelnet of the AAA). After he was re-elected, the scheming vermin got the rules changed, so that since then the voting system has been heavily stacked in favour of the incumbent.

I clicked that madam spanky link, seems Max's people are prepared to accept applications from both genders, the kinky buggers.
Actually, the longer Max hangs on & Bernie continues to put his pocket 1st the sooner the teams will sod off & start their own thing.
