Has anyone been to see this live before?
I'm shooting off to Malaysia just before its on, so have to chance to go watch it there which I probably will do.
What stands are cheap yet still offer a reasonable view? (Hillstand rather then grandstand)

By the way if anyone else is interested my flight ticket there is only £199, but that is one way with airasia.com they do very cheap flights there.

I was in Singapore the week before with work and popped up for the weekend. I bought my tickets via some company in Singapore and collected them while I was there.
Pretty much everywhere has great views of the circuit. I was sitting just before turn 9 and could see pretty much the entire back half of the circuit.

It is very easy to convince the local security to let you into bits of the circuit that you shouldn't get to though. I managed to get into the medical centre and chat with the head doctor, the Radio 5 commentary box, and the place where Bernies car was parked:
Tried and failed to get into the paddock or pits though - Bernie has that well and truly locked down with electronic turnstiles and photo ID's.
Oh, and walking up the red carpet right by where Bernies car was parked because I thought it might go to the corporate hostility boxes was a bad idea. It was the private entrance for the King of Malaysia, and the very big scary South African bodyguard made it very clear that I should get off the carpet pretty pronto.
Oh, and I also blagged my way into the pre-race BMW F1 party that was taking place in a big marquee next to the Petronas Towers in KL. That was great - free food and booze, great band. Very big scary German woman organised it though and she was none too impressed to find out I shouldn't have been there when I started talking to her. She didn't turf me out though
