IF I may suggest.....

Your best and most logical solution is find which country (if any) a comparible Pirelli tyre is used on a Porsche 997 and then track down their most succesfull team. Failing that speak to Pirelli for a guidline and get someone who knows the cars involved like Tim Harvey to set it up in combo with a decent team. Otherwise your you could be chasing your tail for some time!

What series are you running in that requires Pirelli anyway?

Hello Mark,

If you speak to some of the grand am teams running porche 997s they may be able to help as they use pirelli tyres.

Just had 2 days testing the Pirelli tyre in Spain at Cartegena and the drop off of the tyre in the first few laps is huge! Great for a qualifying lap but then drops 2-3 seconds and then settles down. Definitely slower than the Michelin (apparently) and you need to get the cold temps set really well or you will have problems. May have been the very abrasive surface at Cartegena but the 997 did seem to struggle against the 430s. Hope this helps?????????????????//

Can't beat Mich over the race distance. Pirelli is very good on a quali lap though.
