Anyone who is aware of Moley's previous incarnation as an ultra right wing (but not Nazi, let's make that clear) politician should listen to him on the Private Eye podcast above.

The most irritating thin about the podcast is that at no time is Mosley asked why he thinks it is alright to buy women for the purposes of beating and subjecting them to practices which he admits himself are embarrassing.

The freedom of the press is largely illusory under current legislation anyway but Mosley seems to think it should be even more restricted.

He mentions that moral standards change over the years and mentions homosexual activities. One wonders if he is aware that there is a movement afoot to criminalise those who abuse women by buying them for the purpose of their own sexual gratification.

I must admit to disliking the man from an early age - mine, not his - when he was active in the post war reincarnation of the British Union of Fascists but I thought I put this behind me when he started in F1 and later went on to replace Balestre (where are you now when we need you the most) but the podcast reinforces all my opinions of him which I formed when I was a youth.

Having been involved in a limited extent as a police officer with prostitutes (no jokes please, I'm being serious) the way the person who runs my sport says 'consenting adults' as if it is alright to beat women he's paid for, really disgusts me.

I know people who have a privlidged background like him are often reported to have got hung up on nanny smacking them when they were kids, but making women smack him really is beyond the pale.

The sport must deal with this man and promptly. He doesn't only pollute the airways with his justification of the use of prostitutes - buying women's bodies for sex - but F1 as well.

He's pretty old now - 68? Maybe if he continues to indulge his proclivities - or "vigorously" defend his right to do so on every available media outlet - the strain will get too much and he'll pop his clogs.

Not that I'm suggesting such a thing would be desirable. Just possible.

Now hang on. I'm not totally against that idea. So long as everybody is well looked after and so on (e.g. Street hookers doing it for drugs are right out of the question). Whats totally wrong is keeping the wife/partner in the dark.

Either she says yes, or you dont do it, or you get a divorce. Being a lying cheating scumbag however is not on.

I saw their response to the enquiry. Whilst I was an avid follower of the news about the missing child I did not bother about the accusations too much. However, my impression was that to a great extent the parents were using the media. That's no criticism. Indeed I was impressed by their ability and single mindedness. Their criticism of the system seemed to be that more legislation was needed but from what they were saying, the law seemed to sort itself out when they took the matter to court and were awarded damages.

To be clear, I am not a supporter of what the NotW did either. Just the reverse in fact. However, I'm a strong supporter of the rights of a free press. Not because it exercises these rights with good judgement and restraint but because anthing other than a free press is dangerous for democracy. Mosley, bless his blood soaked underpants, quotes France as having exemplary rights to privacy but one only has to see how dishonest some of their politicians are to realise that Mosley's point is a good support for less privacy laws.

Thee is a suggestion that Blunkett would not have been exposed for what he is under the current climate. Further, the mover in all this is a judge, Eady. This is a democracy and Eady was not voted into position to make new laws. That's the function of parliament. But Eady seems to rejoice in his authority.

The irony is that we use the suffix Gate to describe when a dishonest or immoral person is caught bang to rights but the terrible truth is that the Washington Post could not afford to support such an expose of a president nowadays as they would most likely be shut down. The next American, or French, or Italian president who using criminal methods to secure their reelection will not be exposed in the press because of punitive privacy laws.

Maxwell abused the law courts by sticking injunctions on everyone he felt a threat. Whilst this has a time limit, that time was enough for him to steal more money than anyone else up to then. The Great Train Robers, ran from the law, Maxwell used it.

It depends what you mean by chains. Most prostitutes have a monkey on their backs: pimps, hubbies acting as such, children, debts, drugs, drugs and drugs. This thought of them choosing prostitution at some secondary school careers seminar is wide of the mark. I forget the actual figures I was told but it was something like: 80% of prostitutes say they want out, 10% are lying to you, 10% are lying to themselves.

I've not had much to do with prostitutes but those I have seen in my professional capacity always leave me with a feeling of sadness. I remember one prostitute being proud of the fact that, after we arrested her daughter for kiteing, she had kept her off the game. And I've got to say I agree with her.

Mosley's suggestion of 'consenting' adults is disingenuous. Prostitutes generally don't go to the highest bidder they go to any bidder because, for whatever reason, they have to.

I organised some obbs in a 4-star hotel from a back room. I was initially quite surprised to find a number of attractive young women there in evening dresses. These were high-quality prostitutes, not the £25 an hour ones that Mosley was abusing, yet they too were just as sad looking. A WPC chatted to them and she asked that nothing be done about the hotel allowing their premises to be used as a resort for prostitutes as they had nowhere else to go. These, near the top of their profession, were being forced to do whatever it was their client told them to. Not putting in a report did not solve their problem in anything but the short term but I'm pleased I didn't.

Such treatment of women, even though prostitutes, should be outlawed as to my mind it is as near abuse and assault as it is possible to get without actually crossing the line into illegality. And someone who has confessed to doing so over a number of years without any apparent embarrassment, runs my sport and makes moral judgements on it.

I could go on, and probably have to an extent. Nothing will stop prostitution. Nothing will stop it being an abuse of women and men. What we can do is be offended by someone who justifies their actions in buying such women. What we should do is demand that they leave any post of responsibility.

I, for one, am very offended by MM justification of his actions and I totally agree that he should leave his post.
He has lied to his wife, who should be the person closest to him, for many years, so how can we, people he does not know trust a word he says?
