Im going to discuss time scales with John on Friday, hopefully out testing in a few weeks. I understand he's made a great job of it, just hope I don't break it. do you have an eta on testing it? are you planning to do cadwell?

I've been watching it take shape, and in the past few weeks -since Gulf paintwork - it's started to look rather stunning (the 18" OZ split rims are particularly tasty BTW 
)
John has made a really lovely job , with the attention to detail you only get from someone who passionate about the cars and know what they're doing.
It's took a while it seems , but it'll be a hell of a race car when it's done (and at least you know its not been a rush job

).Thanks guys, I know its been a long time coming but to be fair I told John I just wanted it to be spot on, and if I had to wait then so be it. The split rim wheels should look good, I have 16 wheels for it now, 1 set of split rims, 2 sets of the original magnesium alloys and a set of the other tuscan spoke wheels. Cant wait to see it on Friday plus John is taking me out to the best fish and chip shop in Blackpool, I think he's trying to sweeten me up before he gives me the bill!

Hope it is everything you wanted it to be Michael, and it brings you a lot of enjoyment. And don't be so worried about bending it that you don't use it properly - when you start from something that is well sorted, the odd ding is easily repaired.

Mines in fine fettle thanks Michael. Funnily enough this evening I just finished repairing a hole in the rear of the car left by a Porsche smacking into it at its first race (hence my comment about dings!).
The car now has a new rear diffuser and floor sections so it looks rather different at the back. As soon as the dampers are serviced we'll do two tests before Donington - one to put more miles on the car to ensure it will do 45-60 minutes in a stint without problems, and the next on new tyres to focus on set up.
