As predicted, after BrawnGP's impressive (but misleading?) form in testing, and Mclaren's not so impressive showing, Button is back as the darling of the UK media.
BBC sport in particular have plenty of stories running on him, and Hamilton seems to have been forgotten about.

Seriously though I really really hope BrawnGP are genuine - and Button's moment is here, just cant help thinking there is going to be a big anti-climax once racing gets under way..
Just a thought - put Hamilton and Button in the same car - who is faster?

I'm not sure RB has anything to prove - he's won lots of races and survived being teamed with Mr ego-maniac. Be nice for him to be back at the sharp end though.
I think Button is getting perilously close to his last chance to revitalise his career. Despite obvious driving talent he's had bad luck made worse by incomprehensible decisions.
Lewis may struggle a bit until the car is up to snuff but I'm betting he's not had his last championship charge just yet. It is only season three for him after all

Hamilton is the better driver. What does this guy have to do to prove to the doubters that he is the real thing? Came second in his first year(ahead of Alonso in same car) and won the WDC in his second. If Button was as good as "some" people think he is then he would be at Ferrari or Mclaren. I would not expect proving oneself to be motivation for most adults - especially not at the bleeding edge of professional motorsport, when they're veteran of the best part of 300 hundred GPs
My point was, RB will be under less pressure than JB in my opinion (if only because he's nearer the end of his career) notwithstanding RB (still present, afaics) desire to continue competing / winning. I think they'll make a good team this year.
Personally, I think RB deserves a WDC just for putting up with Ferrari-team politics!
Anyway, this is all shaping up to be rather interesting and I'm all for some new faces at the top of the time sheets. That said, I think the championship would benefit from the current holder being in the hunt (no matter who), if only to lend a bit of extra prestige (after all you're as much racing the other guys as their cars and teams). But as long as it's a clean, thrilling and hard fought c-ship, I'm all for it.

Yep, if JB wins a few races at the start of the season and the McLaren, even in Lewis' hands comes nowhere, watch the entire country jump ship from the LH bandwagon to the JB one. I remember when JB was doing good (04 season, consistently being only behind the Ferrari's) dad was following him, the last few years he couldn't give a s
t and I'm willing to bet he will be cheering JB on after Oz. I've always maintained in the right car JB will outrun most people.
Then again, if Lewis is as good as the media keep hyping him up to be, which I have no doubt of given his performances in 2007/2008, then he should be sticking the car in grid slots it shouldn't be in.

i hope JB can really be in the mix this season, he is a driver that deserves more than a car at the back of the grid, will brawn gp be better than mclaren this season? i doubt it, they won't have the resources that macca do. i also think lewis is a better driver but hey what do i really know. Its going to be a really interesting season though and i just can't wait!! I think by the first european based GP mclaren will be up there, todays test looks promising!
