ferrari get bigger revenue share

Why do ferrari get a larger share of the tv revenue?

Because according to the poison dwarf, ferrari are a bigger draw for the fans than F1 is. You wonder why decisions seem to favour Ferrari.
I am puzzled as to why this was put out in a statement. It has been talked about for years.

I'm sure I saw a document years ago that stated the amount of revenue teams received was solely based on the amount of points that they had won over the course of history?

I assume this would mean Ferrari has the biggest share because of that.

It would also mean Williams would get much more than someone like Toyota for example.

Ferrari do get a larger share of the pot than the other teams due to the higher commercial appeal they (apparently) have according to the midget.

Then I believe the pot is shared depending on the points each team gained.

I definitely remembered something about revenue depending on points.
I didn't realise Ferrari got an extra share on top of that as well.

It's widely held to be because they broke ranks with the other teams and signed the old Concorde agreement.

There is a pot of money that goes from the Commercial Rights Holder to the teams.

Ferrari get a fixed amount off the top of it.
The remainder is split (in half, I was told).
One of those two halves is divided equally amongst the teams (including F.).
The other half is divided into unequal pieces. The top finisher in Constructors' points gets the biggest piece, and the pieces descend in size to the bottom (including F.).

You've gotta admit, you can be pretty sure Ferrari are the most important team in F1 from a commercial view.

I don't think it's anti-Ferrari to state that they get a bigger share of the pie (for whatever reason)

Going back for decades, different entrants received different amounts of starting money. It's a commercial issue between an organiser and an entrant.
It starts to get sticky when appearance money can have a direct bearing on the outcome of a future competition. It's more likely to have that bearing in motor sport than it is in boxing, but in theory it could happen in most anything: more funds equals more time to prepare, better coaching, etc. Look at what British track cycling has got out of being, by a factor of 5, the best-funded national team in the world.
Anyhow, I don't think that whether this or that team gets more from the CRH matters all that much to many people. IINM, when the most recent CA was signed in '97, Williams, McLaren and Tyrrell all got a better deal than the others (bar Ferrari) did.
If one team were to be systematically favoured by a corrupt regulator, then that would be (as it has been in the past) another matter. At the moment, however, I don't think that da Monty is Maxey's "special friend" anymore.
