The last paragraph reads:
"I think one of the engine manufacturers has got four orders already."
Lets assume that the current teams will be running the same engines as this year. Does that mean that there will be a new team?
Obviously Brawn have only got a one year deal with Mercedes, I would expect this to be extended if they have a successful season. The only other way that I can think of is if Red Bull or Torro Rosso change engine partners.
I might be being a numpty by thinking that four orders means four teams, not four cars. In which case it would be just the usual scaremongering by the Poison Dwarf.

To decide winner by driver with most victories isn't bad idea, it will let drivers and team greatly motivated to set victory in every race, but shouldn't be forgotten that those win the championship with less race victories or no victories at all are clever driver. They only need to borrow others' gun to win the battle.
I think Bernie is right at some points. One manufacturer can only run a main team and supply a principle team. More than it the race would be less interesting. There will be more tendency that in emergency teams powered by the same engine will favor each other.
There must be more manufacturers involved in F1 such as the retired Honda, Ford, and Jaguar aside of those are currently existing.

Yeah. I was going to put in the whole paragraph, but it kind of detracted from the original point. He mentioned 26 cars racing earlier in the article. It is all politics, puff and posturing. He can say what he likes at this stage without fear of anyone being able to prove him wrong. It might even be an attack on Mosley, the suggestion being that he's set the limit too low. After all, they have, like thieves, fallen out over the new points system.

If that wasn't ignorant enough he then has a stab at the democracy just to put the icing on the cake.

The funny thing is about that comment is that the teams are doing quite a good job of sticking together at the moment. I think that could be Bernie getting a little bit nervous about the fact that they are sticking together and putting a statement out that he hopes will destabilise them. Much the same as one of the headlines on the autosport website, a quote from Smax Mosley, which reads along the lines of: "FOTA's response to the rule changes was weak". Bernie and Smax realise that they are losing their dictatorial hold on F1 and are getting nervous. They are fighting between themselves as much as fighting against the teams. Does anyone else see the irony in the fact that they are trying to "divide and conquer" FOTA, yet they are only succeeding in dividing their own partnership.
