I'm currently organising a trip to Silverstone for me and my dad. As I have never been to Silverstone before, I was wondering if anyone could give me any info on where to stand what tickets to get etc. Price not really a problem, although value for money is appreciated, here is the pricing from the F1 website

Luffield, as close to the start finish straight as you can. You'll see plenty of the cars, a little of the pit stops and, most importantly be near a big screen.

We were at stowe B last year,but i think becketts is a really good spot,and it's covered seating there.

Beckets is a must do for at least one of the days. The cars look incredible through there.

We sat there for some of quali,as you can wonder round where you want on fri & sat.

Agreed. Bekets is a must see. Personally if i were them and there for the whole 3 days i would spend the Friday walking around the track slowly.

From there you will be able to decide what to do on the saturday and on the sunday i would have a seat where i posted earlier.

Don't forget to make good use of the Copse and Beckets 'E-Zones' as well. They should have them there again this year and you can pick up all sorts of fantastic prizes. Last couple of years they were offering guided tours of the F1 Paddock for some of the prizes. Even those of use with better contacts than most have difficulty getting in there (if at all!) so as a Joe P. it really is a prize worth winning!

All this talk of silverstone is making me jealous now ,i want to go again this year

can you get infield on raceday with a general admission ticket? if so, definately the banking on the inside of Copse. its a brief, but awesome view.

if not, the outside of Club, great view if you are near the front as they come down hangar straight, you miss them through stowe but see them over the rise then uptowards abbey. you need to be there VERY EARLY though to get a good seat.

grandstands are over-rated and over-priced.

I sat there for the race and it was the best view of the track IMHO. On the friday i walked round the circuit and had a look at woodcote and club mainly. On the saturday i mostly sat at club had an excellant view down the hangar straight and you really get to see a heavy braking point. On raceday i was at Becketts and like i said it's the best view on the circuit. You get see how the cars can quickly change direction and if you get to sit at the far end of the grandstand you will get a much better view.
