I'm out in the Taz for our maiden run tomorrow! hehe

Those of you who are there, please feel free come along and make yourself known while i'm stressed or point out discrepancies and offer advice. It's my first time on a circuit other than a trackday and .... yikes

Despite Jim Clark and Barcroft being high speed, Croft is very much a handling circuit not a power circuit. Concentrate on your lines, precision is key to a good lap time there. If you get the car set up right you can go giant-killing. My track day V8S was faster over a lap then a turbo race tasmin head to head .. the turbo car had 100hp more but just understeered off the track at Sunny Out trying to keep ahead .. like I say : handling and precise driving deliver great rewards at Croft thumbup

Well we both survived intact, I'm still grinning this morning biggrin I understand what you mean with the setup, I had an oversteer problem, especially noticable on Tower Bend and Complex 2 so we've a bit to do in the next three weeks but overall I was well pleased.

Great pictures as usual Linda, is there any chance that you could send me all the pics of no.9 that you took if/when you have the time?

Cheers

Tower exit can sometimes be slippery because it's in the shade of some trees, but a slide there needn't be costly because all you do is run a little bit along the next straight on opposite lock which can take you neatly into straightlining to the outside for the run into Jim Clark. It would hurt a qualifying time maybe, but not your race as it would be a brave man would would challenge you through jim clark curves, though a good run by a brave driver would set it up for a dive into Sunny.
I always find a really late entry into Tower works well whatever i'm driving though.
The exit of the complex is important if you don't want to get taken down the pit straight. it's easy to spin your grip away, accurate throttle control is essential if you have a powerful car here, in a tasmin you would want to try diferent lines and datalog it to see what got you the highest exit speed or you'll be a sitting duck on the straight..
