just a bit of fun but what time do you think Whitmarsh/Dennis put the call in to R&D to get their department into gear knocking up a disffuser or two?

It's not just the diffuser, it's the whole integration with the rear crash structure, the ban on testing and rule ambiguity that is reinforcing their need to protest rather than just build a new one.

McLaren's much-vaunted CFD program seems to have failed them already with this car. If they don't understand what they have already, trying to copy someone else's solution sounds ill-advised to me. I'm sure they will get to grips with the car, but goes to show what a bit of lateral thinking can do - Williams, Brawn and Toyota are all looking very strong.
