I'm sorry for posting this. I Did have a lot of respect for Lewis.
Having read about the situation with the stewards and what went on i'm convinced that Lewis and David Ryan tried to pull the wool over the Stewards eye's.

No answer to my question then of when did he cheat in the actual race?He tried to make personal gain by making out that Trulli had passed him whilst the safety car was out. And when questioned forgot to mention that he was asked by the team to let Trulli pass!! Smell a rat yet?

For what it's worth on this thread, I just think the whole situation is due to the Stewards actions last year which has made the teams too twitchy.
Lets be honest here, Hamilton deliberately effectively LOST a postition by giving Trulli his 3rd back.
OK, post race, Mclaren may have realised that by trying to not break a rule they broke a rule and tried to play it down but this isn't cheating for goodness sake.

Trulli DID pass him after safety car was out hence Lewis finishing 4th IN THE RACE.Hasn't anyone worked out that Hamilton was entirely legitimate in passing truly because he was off the track. Read the FIA Formula 1 Regs.
And just because Hamilton allowed Truli to overtake him, it doesn't mean that Truli had to do so. He had lost his place due to an off, he was not entitled to reclaim it!
