Which commentary do you listen to on BBC for the F1?

I'm curious, whether you guys on here listen to the main BBC commentators, or whether you choose different audio (if you've worked out how...it's bloody confusing haha!) as I can't seem to find figures for it!

Not neccessarily a topic about which is best, just looking for numbers.

My personal favourite would be Davidson and Brundle. I listen to Davidson + Croft, as the new chap on the BBC is pants.

It's available as another alternative.. I think (alledgedly) it's Perry McCarthy + a n other

I listen to both! I really don't have a preference, but listened to the "cbbc" one and left
that quite quickly (for the Oz GP).. I really like listening to your (Ian) brother and Crofty for the practice sessions, they're _very_ entertaining and engaging.

The one slight problem I have with the Radio 5 commentary is the news break, etc... For Oz I switched over to BBC1 at that point, but didn't switch back...

It's a real shame that we can't record and then switch between commentaries, but that would be a bit greedy!!

I've only watched with the live commentary so far as I've had to watch both races later.

It's a shame to lose Brundle but I much prefer Croft and Davidson. They seem to be on the pulse of the race more, picking things up more quickly. There's also some banter and AD provides very good insight into how it is for the driver.

There is, of course, the added bonus that one of them is not an annoying .

First race was Brundle, second was Davidson.

I will stick with the radio 5 live commentary for now as the guys actually listen to each other and pay attention to what is going on.
Plus Davidson has more recent experience of being an F1 driver, giving better depth.

Croft and Davidson are a far superior "team", i've always rated Brundle, but Davidson's insights are alot more relevant to today's cars, and his knowledge of the cars/drivers and circuits is 2nd to none, he even knows the layout of most of the steering wheels so he can tell you exactly what buttons are being pressed and explains why.

Leggard is awful, just can't even stand to listen to his voice, and he's got such a football radio presenters voice, its annoying!
I'm gonna stick with the Croft/Davidson commentary wall season, if you have the red button check it out.

Legard and Croft are terrible commentators. They are not very knowledgeable and don't pay attention.

But I stick with Brundle over Davidson, however would quite happily listen to Davidsons comments.

Davidson and Walker would be a hilarious combination, two complete opposite commentating styles.

There should be an option for both,as that's what i've been doing,alternating between the 2,although i prefer Martin out of all of them.

Has anyone listened to the CBBC one mentioned above? It is Pel Boy Perry but I only found out about it yesterday so missed it on the first two race. How do they commentate, do the shout BOGEYs evertime Schumi is on screen or something?

It's more along the lines of. " oh look. Kimi's car is smoking. Kimi drives a red car. Uh Oh, Kimi wants to get out of the car. OOOH Kimi's got a magnum......."

I would listen to the Davidson and Croft on 5 live but the quality is not quite as good at the tv feed. Shame as I think they are a great duo. Realy good banter between them.

Still enjoy them in practice sessions though. Also the last 2 races I have watched again on red button but changed the commentary so get to hear what everyone has to say.
