Hotle recomendations for Silversotne GP ?

Looking to come over to the UK for the Silverstone GP (F1) as we now have extra English competition !!

Any recomendations for a hotel nearby ?

Sorry i wouldn't be able to recomend a hotel as you will most likely not be able to get one within 60 miles. Camping is probably your best option but spots will be limited with that now.

God, that bad ! I suppose going by car can be a true nightmare then ?

You may get something if you widen a search to include Oxford (Not a bad place to spend time) or Milton Keynes (somewhere to sleep).

I missed last year but getting in by car wasn't a huge problem, but we did arrive very early on Saturday and Sunday. Getting out of the place after the race is a thread of its own.

Well i headed down in the thursday and camped so it wasn't bad at all. But an hour after i arrived there was a huge queue to get in to the camp site itself. Try Whittlebury, they were advertising spots in the F1 magazine this month. But it is the most popular site by the sound of it and i'd recomend it if you can get a spot there. I know a mate's hotel was 60 miles away last year and that was booked december. Also a newspaper had a deal for a hotel in Milton Keynes. Good luck though because last year there was the best weekend i've had.

+1 for camping.

The atmosphere and location of the campsites are second to none. I stayed at New Rookery Farm in Silverstone village. A 15-20 minute walk and your at the Luffield/Pit staright area of the track (where the F1 village was located last year).

They were doing up the place when I was there last year - putting in more showers and toilets. The owners make breakfast for you (charegable) and you also get weekend access to the Silverstone Racing association - a social club where they put bands on for your enjoyment (did last year and can't see it being any different this year).

As it's the last at Silverstone I imagine its gonna be the best - pity I can't make it
