What cars do racing drivers own/drive

Is there a resource/list somewhere that lists cars that famous racing drivers own/use themselves?

I guess a lot will be provided by their sponsors etc. but interested to know what they go for with their own hard earned.

I guess a lot of them know no road car will ever be as thrilling as a racing car so many opt for something comfy/luxurious etc.?

I know Jacques Villeneuve used to have a viper as a daily driver.

Which is now owner by someone I know.

Mercedes used to give (and may still) F1 drivers massive discounts on their cars.
The drivers used to pick them up each year at German GP time.
If you watched the Jackie Stewart hagiography on the TV you would have seen all the Mercedes cars on the front drive of his house in the film clips from when he was racing.
Favourite cars were the 6.3 and 6.9 SELs.

Nowadays factory team drivers are limited to company cars. So the Toyota guys get a Lexus and so on.

Some F1 drivers are real petrol heads and get special and sporty road cars.
Others get all their excitement on the track and just get barges for the road.

Heikki Kovalainen doesn't even own a car. Never has done. Can't fully understand that one. I know Lewis mentioned on top gear he mainly drives a mercedes diesel, can't remember which model though.

Hamilton now has 2 Merc GL 4WDs, one 420CDI with 24" rims as he mentioned on TopGear, and he apparently also has a 320CDI, not sure if that is a replacement for the 420 or another one in the collection.

Button used to have an NSX company car, there was an infamous thread a couple of years ago where some dude in a turbo Integra had an impromtu drag race with him on a motorway somewhere.

And of course there was that classic incident where Button got done doing 140mph in a 330d on the French motorway circa 2001.

No the Megane really was that good!

I had a megane 1.5dci once as a courtesy car... It's the most fun I've ever had at the 'ring. Made mincemeat of a Caterham through Hatzenbach and it took all the way from T13 to the MuttKurve for a GT2 to pass me on an RMA day a few years back.
