No need for handbags over semantics, I would hope most of us understood the job vs roles

It just seems a sensible re-org (IMHO) to tool up for the new development challenges with enforced race weekend testing. 8 or so straight tests and limits on wind tunnel speed will really challenge the teams who need to 'catch up'.

I wonder how this impacts on Kimi, he seems to be pretty centric in the rumour mill, plenty of inferences will be drawn over the weekend I suppose. I'm also surprised many journo-speculators seem to be subtly linking the tyre selection faux pas with LB (as though Mr Dyer & Kimi had no input?), still plenty believe as fact the opinions they read in black & white

And since when did the TM decide on tyre choices?

Yeah exactly my thoughts too. Im my book the chief track engineer has the final decision on tyre choices, helped by the drivers and race engineers.
