All Running fine at last.

Did 19 laps of Brands without a probem. was only doing 1:01's but did 10 laps at the same time. I think I could have made a few seconds by braking later, but was mainly a shakedown and not fullout 100%
At a few scares
1st took my old licence not my new one Douh, house mate brought down my current one.
Then Gearbox soulded like it had gone, but remote had dropped and was hitting the prop. so a quick fix, but missed 1st seasion.
Car ran fine though, if a little hot, 98oC but stayed at 98 for 17 lapps so at least it consistant. Rad Temp stayed at 85oC not sure if the rad is not getting cool enough or it's not pumping correctly. oil temp was about 110.
was cornering at 1.16 G had a little bit of overstear when pushing.
So in all had a good day. plus even as it is will do race distance ok.

Need to give the car a good check over to make sure it's all fine, if so will book up for the rock on monday.

Lambda reading seem ok, so don't think I need a map just yet, will wait till sort the race engine, or get a better cam in this one, as running a std Landrover camshaft.

Not currently running a cooler, its on the list of things to do,
Ideally if we can drop the water temp, then the oil temp will drop also.
was suprised that the air was not cooler the radiator much, as the Rad was at a constant 85.
Going to fit a lower temp thermostat and some better spal fan, too see if we can get temps down about 10oC.

Just had a look at last years Qualy times and I would have been 14th out of 21, so not as bad as I thought, esp as its a standard LR engine now, plus was breaking too early.TVRleigh_BBWR said:
